This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Encourage the Encourager.
Do you know the encourager at church?
They seem to be always encouraging others.
But they also need to be encouraged!
We can easily take people for granted; that include taking for granted those who encourage others.
I don’t want this to be focus only on people; but we can be God centered by encouraging the encouragers. Encourage them with verses. Encourage them with notes. I’m sure those who often encourage others not always get good responses from others. Not that it is all about getting responses back. But still it is encouraging to hear back from people.
So encourage the encouragers too!
You encourage me! I think I will encourage someone else today! Thanks my friend!
Hope your Sunday goes well BG as you go about encouraging others!
Yours too Jimmy!

Thanks for this good exhortation! Yes, some people have the gift of being encouragers and they need to be encouraged too. I’m generally not an encourager and I need to work on it.
We’re still getting to know people at our new small church, but I was able to encourage someone because of my fanship of the Byrds. Yes, I was. There are only four singers in the church “choir.” One of the ladies always sings the harmony part very distinctively. I’m the worst singer in the world but being a fan of the Byrds for 50 years, a band that showcased great harmony singing, I can appreciate those who can sing harmony well. After a recent service we walked out with the woman and I mentioned how much I appreciated her being part of the choir and her harmony singing. Well, she just about had a coronary, as if no one had ever said a word of appreciation to her for her harmony singing. I felt the Lord used me with my particular experiences to lift Peggy up that day. We need to be open to those kinds of circumstances and express our genuine appreciation rather than keep silent.
Thank you for sharingthat! I love your last sentence: ” We need to be open to those kinds of circumstances and express our genuine appreciation rather than keep silent.” As a pastor I notice those that serve often are often missed by the congregation for being thanked and appreciated. We kind of take them for granted. Now if we are thankful to God we should be grateful for the various gifts God has given the church. I appreciate you taking the time to write this and I hope it encourages others as it encouraged me. Our church before was so small we only have one person do worship; so 4 people Choir sounds huge! How has Church been?
Thanks, brother! I wasn’t meaning to toot my own horn in this case, but I thought it tied in well with your topic. The Lord leads and we follow. Church has been a big blessing and I thank you for your prayers that we find a solid church home.
As a card carrying Barnabas type I support this idea, Slim Jim! Even the strongest encouragers are running on empty sometimes. Don’t take them for granted! Most droopy helper folks perk right up with just a little watering.
Wow this is good: “Even the strongest encouragers are running on empty sometimes. Don’t take them for granted! ” May God bless you and also bless others with your gift of encouragement David! Thanks for reading and encouraging me with this comment!
Excellent brother. We must indeed encourage the encourager. And … I can do much better to be an encourager as well. I love this from Acts “And Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with many words.”
Shalom!
Amen love that y ou shared that from Acts. Hey Michael thank you for your encouragement all these years
May we all be encouragers and encourage each other.
Amen may we do that Frank!
It always amazes me when I see that the Lord is speaking the same message to me that He is speaking to others. I am working on a post about encouragement this week. Blessings, Pastor Jim!
Wow providential Cindy! Love the Lord for that!
Amen!
Thank you for your continual encouragement, Jimmy Jim!
Thanks Daniel Klem!
