Thanks brother. This one looks interesting. “BIOLA Apologetics & the Ocean of Uncertainty” – I have saved it to read later today.
Blessings.
Thank you for introducing us earlier to the Christian Worldview. I’m watching “A Dialologue with an Atheist.”
Awesome! Glad to hear that. I appreciate Christian Worldview project for what they do both in English and I believe Tagalog. How was that dialogue? Hope you are doing well
Hope you are doing well too? Still praying for you.
Answering your question, the dialogue was calm and professional until the end; yes, even when they discussed issues of the atheist (e.g. garden of eden, snake, creation of animals, Laws, GOD’s wrath, religions). But of course, they both agree to disagree to think it over, and have a second round. I’ve schoolmates that are atheist and they are firmed. We are grateful that GOD opens our eyes by His grace.
Number 4 is worth reading because it contrasts presuppositional apologetics with “classical/evidential” apologetics. The problem with the evidential apologetics is that it accepts an atheistic position that certainty is unattainable. Scarlett Clay also pointed to a video by Greg Bahnsen that I will watch later today.
Grateful for those like Scarlett Clay and the late Greg Bahnsen of encouraging believers to defend the faith without pretending that Christianity is not true. God bless you brother. Hope you are doing well?
Thanks, brother! I’ll be listening to the C2TC guys’ episode while driving around today.
Awesome; are you driving around with errands concerning your sister?
Yup, that’s going to be my daily or every-other-day routine until we can get her moved down to Florida and her house sold.
How’s your Thursday going?
Scarlett’s article is fantastic! I have to admit when I hear professors discuss apologetics in terms of probability vs certainty, it creates SO much anxiety, turmoil and unrest in my being. I will admit, unlike Scarlett I am unable to listen and thus tune these teachings out. I know that is rude; however, I don’t not want want to plague myself with lack of peace and high anxiety. Thank you for sharing Scarlett’s blog! I will definitely check out her writings! What’s ministry looking like for y’all today? Do you homeschool today?!
I know what you mean! I feel some teach apologetics in a way that cultivate doubt than confidence in Christ. I also think it’s important to emphasize one’s walk with God too when one study apologetics issues, as I know when I was young apologetics was combat arts to me but I was spiritually immature. Still some see apologetics as a substitute for devotions and they don’t end up in a good place. Going to be homeschooling social studies and Bible today and later will be making some calls today with ministry, no long range pastoral visitation today. How are you? Did you get your outdoor furniture assembled and used yet?
Praying for your schooling! What are ya teaching today?! Glad you’re not driving all over CA today!!!! Furniture is assembled and being put to great use, praise the Lord!!!!

Saving these to read at a later time,

I wasn’t able to go last Friday. An unexpected trial came my way. But “ all things” work together for good 🙏
