Christian apologist Richard Howe recently presented “A Sound Refutation of Presuppositionalism with Dr. Richard Howe” over at Capturing Christianity. As some of you readers know I lean towards Presuppositional apologetics. For some of you who might be wondering what is Presuppositionalism check out the Ultimate Collection of Free Presuppositional Apologetics Lectures. Presuppositionalist have responded to Dr. Howe and some of those responses are in video format which I have shared below.
First I want to share Dr. Howe’s original video:
Here are the responses:
Jim, thanks for pulling all of this together!
You’re welcome! How are you holding up with everything brother?
It’s a bad day to ask. I went from being furloughed, and I just found out in the last hour, that I’ve been laid off until January. Not a good day.
Good is always good and He has a plan. I trust in Him.
Wow, what a great resource. Thanks so very much.
Blessings.
Thanks, Jim!
Thanks, brother! I’m going to listen to the first response to Howe when I do my walking later this morning.
What time do you go on your first walk in the morning?
My wife gets up around 8:15 and we eat breakfast and watch the morning news. When “Kelly and Ryan” come on at 9:00, it’s time for me to take my walk!!!
I enjoyed the first 40-minutes of Collin Brooks’ response to Richard Howe’s criticisms of presup apologetics. This stuff would be way over my head if it wasn’t for your blog, however I very much get why the “foundational approach” makes a difference when witnessing to atheists. I really need to listen to the radio debate between Greg Bahnsen and Catholic apologist Gerry Matatics that Brooks mentions. I couldn’t find it on You Tube but located an MP3 on a website. Really looking forward to that!
Honestly, Jim, these are new concepts to me and I’ll start knowing this a little bit. Thank you!
You’re welcome! God bless you and thank you so much for your support Kuya!
Oh, you know Filipino, Jim that is great! You’re welcome and I learn a lot too from your posts. “Maraming salamat rin, Pastor Jim, sa pagdasal nila sa aming bayan.”
Oooooo. I will watch later.
Awesome! How is your new computer thus far?
Gooooooood.
I love the photo at the top. 🙂

Very necessary refutations. Presuppositional apologetics: No man should settle for less than this!
A lot of us fell for it during the beginning of our apologetics endeavor and didn’t learn the biblical method of Presup for years contrary to the Scripture
I have loved, and studied science, all of my life. The more I study the Bible, the more I learn about His creation. There were prophecies about the rise of Rome and the rise of Jerusalem, long before they ever existed. One Roman ruler was mentioned by name. There were 9 rulers mentioned in prophecy. 7 were bad, 1 didn’t rule very long and the 9th one was worse that the rest. Hundreds of years later, there were 7 rulers that were bad. They were persecuting Jews in their own vicinities. The eighth one didn’t rule very long. He committed suicide after two years. The ninth one was worse than the rest. He had everyone in the known world crucified if they didn’t worship him as god. This has been confirmed historically as well. There are many medical facts that were known then that were not discovered until recent history. I can share many videos about various topics, showing quite a few. As far as the flood goes. There have been over 200 accounts of the global flood in almost every culture where asn had to save his family, and many of them include him saving the animals. Only the Bible tells the complete, accurate story. The tower of Babble fell and caused the people to be scattered and their languages to be confused. I, myself have had many, very specific prayers, answered in detail. I am planning on writing a book to encourage prayer. I tried almost anything, except witchcraft or voodoo as a child and once I gave prayer a try, amazing things started happening. In many saves, I couldn’t even see the result until years, decades and even moments later. God is real and His word is true and Jesus Christ died so that many shall be saved. He sent the apostles on the great commission to preach just exactly how we are to be saved and remain in Him. God said, “Let US (plural) create MAN (singular) in OUR (plural) own IMAGE. (singular) What does man consist of? Mind, body and spirit. God is Mind, Jesus is Body and the Holy Ghost is Spirit. If you would like to discuss any of this further, feel free to message me back. I can send many videos that can explain the scientific, historical, great flood, medical and young earth topics and scriptures much better than I can. God bless you.
