Keep up the good work brother.
Thank you Jerry, may the Lord bless your day!
Thanks for the list. The article about “progressive” Christianity shying away from judgement reminded me that guys like Andy Stanley not only want to “unhitch” from the Old Testament because of the issue over the Biblical creation and miracles, but they also have a problem with the OT’s dramatic judgement against sin.
Guys who have problem with the OT will eventually have problem with God doing the same thing in the NT…what they are playing with is dangerous and explosive, they’re walking time TNT…
I know there’s long been a faction who argue that the “wrathful” God of the OT is a different God from the merciful, forgiving One in the NT (Marcionism). But when a believer reads both testaments together, there is not a problem – God is Holy and judges sin but is also merciful and full of grace and has provided the way of salvation through Jesus Christ. The Gospels and Epistles do not neglect to speak about sin and judgement. By focusing on the NT as the “more palatable,” “less-offensive” option, these progressives seem to be glazing over what Christ said about judgement and hell. Stanley’s statements only confirm what we already know to be going on at many of the non-denominational mega-churches.

Thanks for the reblog! How are you doing my brother Vincent?
Yankee Whiskey Bravo and I’m doing good Pastor Jim 👍👍
I’m so amazed at your accomplishments, Jim. You do all this writing, and I’m barely able to get a comic page done a week.
Actually I think the respect is mutual: I’m amazed how much comics you have under your belt! I remember once watching a video where a writer and artist said it took him three months for each page (inking and editing too). So I am encouraged to see comics with a Christian worldview, keep up the good work!
