This Sunday before Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Call Someone to Go to Church.
At the time I’m writing this post it is seen as the holiday season. People are more receptive this time of the year to the idea of being invited to go to church.
But I want to encourage you to do this beyond the holiday season. Go ahead and call someone before church starts and invite them to your church.
Are they believers and you haven’t seen them at church for a while? Consider Hebrews 10:24. The verse says “and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds.” And one way to stimulate another to love and good deeds begin by encouraging them to be at church in the first place…in order for them to carry out the imperative of loving and doing good deeds.
Is there anyone you miss seeing at church lately? Also think of someone you might not have seen for a long time. Pray for them then pick up your phone and call them! Call them and ask them “How are you?” Hear them out. Or if they have a lot to share say you would like to talk to them in person rather than on the phone and maybe you can catch up with them at church. Tell them you would be glad to see them with the rest of the body of Christ. You should do this out of the motive of loving God and care and compassion for the person.
Scared? Don’t underestimate how God can use just one call from someone to let them know they care and that they are thinking of that individual. This is true in a big church where the personal touch can be difficult; this is true even in small churches where its too small not to be personal! Also even if you are scared you will be rejected consider that’s the risk worth taking; its worth taking when Christ Himself knows what it’s like to be rejected and Christ was rejected by both Jews and Gentiles on the Cross in order to suffer and die for our sins. How would you not desire to be obedient and be loving towards others?

Reblogged this on LIVING BY FAITH.
Inviting people to church is always a great idea . This morning we had some new people on church . I know it was because someone invited them.
Have a blessed Lord’s Day
Praise the Lord that is a joyful thing to hear! I just prayed for the salvation of any new visitors who aren’t saved that attended your church. Were you able to talk to any of them or greeted them?
Thank you for your prayers.
We usually go over greet them and make them feel welcomed. After the service food is served and people gather around. We are a small congregation so no one slips out notice .
Thanks for this good exhortation and have a blessed Lord’s day!
You’re welcome! It’s going to be a long Sunday with preaching at two churches and a family in tow! How was church today and what did the preacher talk about this morning?
Hope you’re having a good Sunday. Church was a blessing. The pastor has been preaching a series about the “disreputable” women in Jesus’ genealogy including Rahab, Tamar, and today was Bathsheba.

Now that is a good word. Will do!
Merry Christmas.
What a great idea, brother!
Thanks! Let me know when you get the mail yeah? I’m hoping it arrives before Christmas!
Justin works Christmas, so we won’t be celebrating until the 27th so that should by our mailmen a little extra time 😃 but I do hope what we sent the girls gets there before the 25th. Bismarck mail takes forever, so I sent something from a website instead.
Amen.
And Amen I hope today you are doing well Grand Maw Maw!
Doing well, Sweetie.
This is a timely post and I believe it is meant for me. Today, at church we had our Christmas lunch and this was the first year that we had such a low turn out. We were wondering where everyone was. It became obvious that we have to reach out to them. Your post motivate me to try to get their numbers to give them a call. Thank you.
Amen guys x
