Awesome I try to have nice photos for these round up! Enjoying the early morning and planting earlier today???
Waiting a bit until it gets a little warmer, probably about an hour :0) I’m excited! have a happy blessed Saturday, Jim.
Yay! Have a blessed Saturday! I hope to do a lot of studying and a lot of time with others too!
The original article for #5 can be found here: Using the Bible to Prove the Bible. It is written by Peter Goeman, is formatted properly, and includes attention-grabbing graphics.
The final paragraph of the original article also includes a link to a Grace Theological Journal article by James M. Grier, which influenced the writer: The Apologetic Value of the Self-Witness of Scripture.
TY for this. Especially with the Grier article, I shared it on the blog here before at https://veritasdomain.wordpress.com/2010/01/18/james-griers-article-on-the-apologetical-value-of-the-self-witness-of-scripture/ , 14 years ago; so I just updated with the working link you provided to that article
Original GTJ journal articles can be found at this table of contents; it includes the ability to download corresponding pdfs:
Grace Theological Journal
Vols 1 – 12 (1980 – 1991)
WOW! As I was skimming the titles (again) in the GTJ archive, I came across a few of interest, to include one in particular, which makes an almost off-the-cuff remark that is perfect to use in an article (one of many) I’d been working on (off and on) for over four years!
These old journal articles are a wealth of information. Perfect for the serious researcher and seminary student.
Thanks for the listing! I enjoyed the C2TC guys discussion of early pre-suppositionalism taught by Abraham Kuyper and Van Til. I remember Leonardo De Chirico citing Kuyper as one of the first Protestant theologians to examine RC-ism systemically rather than atomistically.
Grateful for your comment! A post on Kuyper and RC would be good in the future…how goes your day?
Yeah, I would like to read some of Kuyper’s writings on RC-ism.
I did some raking in the pachysandra today. Going to another RIT hockey playoff game tonight.
How is your Saturday going?
Thanks for including my dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight efforts. (Come on, y’all should recognize the reference to The Joker in the Michael Keaton Batman movie.) That graphic AI gave me was creepy.
In addition to upholding the authority of Scripture and showing how Genesis is important to our understanding of all of the Bible, I’m trying to show how presuppositional thinking applies here. Indeed, I’ve had it apply in other areas. Hope those things come through.
I’m gateful for your articles. I’ve always liked your art work on your post. I been experimenting with AI art and it seems at times it can be very good and other times it’s creepy or strange. Blessings to you bother for all your years of laboring to speak truth
Thanks for your commitment to providing these resources.
Blessings.
You are welcome brother
Good point from Bob Sorensen in link 3: “We presuppose that the Bible is true, which tells us that unbelievers know full well that God exists and evidence is all around them, but they suppress the truth (Romans 1:18-23) while presupposing matter is all that exists.”
Thanks for reading this brother Frank! Romans 1:18 and following is so illuminating and has implication for many things, such as psychology of unbelief, apologetics and also interpretive lens of a culture spiritually and religiously. Hope you are doing well brother Frank!
