Great list, especially #5
I agree…#5 had some great points, especially towards the end. Most so-called apologists appear as fools arguing with fools. Instead of being guided by the Holy Spirit they go looking for a fight. That is not what Paul meant by defending the Gospel. He said (paraphrased), be prepared to make defense to anyone who ASKS you a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.
As for Titus 1:9, many take this as an opportunity to go after anyone (especially other Christian’s) who may disagree with their point of view. I have been called a heretic by some simply because I know that I know that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still in operation today.
Here…nah, jk. Good point. As I grow more in Christ, I see the importance of sanctification for the apologist in how we witness and engage in defense of the faith.
Wow thanks I will fix that
LOL…As for you, SJ, I detect humility. Don’t get cocky though because I believe (cheek in tongue moment) that the Lord has given me the ministry of keeping apologist humble. Watch someone come back with, “Well, that’s not scriptural, and let me tell you why…”
how we one another as iron sharpens iron
Thanks for the links SJ.
You’re welcome Rob
