Thank you Jim for these resources. GOD bless!
You’re welcome! Wow either you wake up really early or sleep really late (for me is sleeping late)…I think you probably wake up early? Going to say good night for now and will see you blog in a couple of hours when I get up!
Pastor Jim, it is still late in the afternoon in my time (5:05pm as of this writing). I’m from the Philippines. Good night pastor. Looking forward to read “solid food” discussions. I’ll be having a series on election, justification etc later on.
For our apologetics we need to have a biblical interpretation of unbelief. I will definitely take these suggestions and watch that video and listen to the podcasts. God Bless you.
These look great. Thanks for the resources and your faithfulness as always.
Blessings from Mighty King Jesus.

Thanks much!
Thanks for the listing! I enjoyed the Cave to the Cross discussion while taking a very long walk this morning regarding how idolatry in many forms – Hinduism, political ideologies, Islamism – all involve a degree of reductionism. I credit you for helping me to understand this stuff. I continue to be very cautious of Nancy Pearcey, the author of the book, “Finding Truth,” which the Cave to the Cross guys are picking through. I did some googling and found an article in the Catholic ecumenical journal, First Things, which states that “Pearcey is evangelical in her outlook but ecumenical in her tastes. She draws on scripture, tradition, and a breadth of contemporary Christian leaders—Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox—to present the possibility of a unified Christian understanding of human anthropology and dignity.” That compromise is as dangerous as the other views she opposes. I did some more googling and discovered she co-wrote “How Now Shall We Live” with ECT founder Chuck Colson. The sample below from google books is the same kind of very disturbing ecumenism espoused by Colson elsewhere:
https://books.google.com/books?id=Cmlf9UnQa0EC&pg=PT427&lpg=PT427&dq=nancy+pearcey+ecumenism&source=bl&ots=rW5srYEOQe&sig=ACfU3U3XcrUiHFpp9m8kckTBArA1LRscAw&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi7lcmY58foAhUYbs0KHf3TCZc4ChDoATACegQICBA0#v=onepage&q=nancy%20pearcey%20ecumenism&f=false
I wonder if the Cave to the Cross guys are aware of Pearcey’s ecumenical attitude towards Rome?
I don’t know if they are aware of the extent of the ecumenism of Nancy Pearcy. I’m going to ask them about it via Twitter’s message privately if you are ok with that? That book with Colson is certainly concening.
RE: if you are ok with that?
I’m appreciative of your reaching out to them. Although I’ve never read “How Shall We Then Live” by Colson and Pearcey, I’ve seen it referred to for quite a long time as one of the stronger “evangelical” appeals for ecumenism with Rome. I didn’t realize she co-authored the book with Colson until my google searches today. Very disappointing.
Reblogged this on My Logos Word.
Thanks for the links, Jim!
You’re welcome and thanks for dropping by even with your data cap!
You’re welcome, but text and images don’t use that much data. 🙂
