Originally I want to do a short series that I will post on from time to time on the danger of online ministry.
Last month I wrote The Danger of Online Ministry Part 1: Neglecting the Local Church
I still want to do that series.
But I also want to balance that with how the internet can be a blessing.
What is one blessing?
As one does only ministry the Lord can use that to allow you to meet people from God’s Global Church. They can be from all around the world. I have been blessed by that fellowship.
Yes the Local church is important.
But there are also believers from other places too that one can be blessed to fellowship with!
Its a give and take: you can learn from others, others can learn from you.
Praise be to God!
Have you experienced the same?
It can be a blessing; however, as for myself, it is of secondary importance to delivering the local message to local Christians.
Amen to that brother, amen!
Absolutely brother. It is yes / and. Yes, the local church is vital. And, online ministries are reaching the lost for Jesus. We work together. It is all for the glory of God.
Blessings.
Amen! Its y our last comment that inspired this post
You’re certainly a blessing to me.
Aww! Likewise with you sister!
I enjoyed your blog resources
The free e books are great
Thanks for checking out the blog!
Whether in the local church or online “you can learn from others, others can learn from you.”
So true! So true
Thanks for this good post! Yup, the local church is important, but believers from all over the country and the world have been a blessing to me since I started blogging on WordPress in 2015.
Amen! I actually think WordPress is actually a far more wholesome place than any other social media btw; and it seems to provoke better real conversations than other social media
I don’t have any experience with other social media except for I recently saw that WordPress once again allowed direct postings to Twitter/X. So I’m doing that again, but there’s such a great volume of tweets I feel a bit overwhelmed there.
I feel Twitter has too much feed so I don’t do much there at all; WordPress though is my home!
I agree. The copious feed is too much.
I have noticed that I have some faithful readers from around the world. There are others that are faithful for a season. About 35% of my annual readers are from countries other than the USA, and I love it when they leave comments (not that often).
Wow that’s awesome that you have 35% of readers that are from other lands than USA! What is your top three other countries??
My top five are India, Indonesia, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia, but I have semi-faithful readers from Spain and Germany that immediately follow, Best from Africa is Kenya (10th place). My map is not as full as yours, and I pray for the people in those countries, especially the gaps in your map. They are gaps in mine also.
Wow awesome!!!
The ministry found in a local church brings believers together in ways that online ministry finds it difficult to duplicate. Each has a purpose in God’s body of believers.
Indeed each has its role, amen to that
