Thanks brother. This one looks interesting “Scripture, not Natural Revelation…”
Blessings.
I like the way Bob Sorensen puts things as in link 4 when he writes, “Do not expect civility from a misotheist, because that indicates you are a person.”
Thanks for reading these links; how did your weekend turn out brother?
Reblogged this on Talmidimblogging.
Thanks for the listing! I got to listen to the C2TC guys while mowing the lawn this morning.
Wow awesome! I just got around to listening to them a little bit late since last night I was too tired! Is son still with you guys visiting??
RE: son
Thanks! He boards the plane tomorrow at 6PM. It’s been a great visit.
How is your Tuesday going?
Ok, so I am going to be completely honest, I do not understand the transcendental post. Any help to understand would be greatly appreciated! Enjoy your day off!!!
I think the article covered a lot! There’s so much definitions that might be needed now that you pointed it out. Transcendental argument (TA) is not the same thing as transcendent such as God’s attribute is “above” or goes beyond creatures, etc. “Transcendental” in philosophy (and actually older philosophy since today’s analytic philosophy don’t use this term as frequent today) refer to the precondition and foundation for something to be both meaningful and intelligible (intelligible as in sensical and rational enough to talk about); so Presup is big on saying Christian Theism is the foundation for human experience and morality, logic, etc. So the writer Daniel Akande in that post is trying to deal with objections brought up against the Transcendental Argument Presuppositionalists employ and he is removing some of the obstacles by noting that Presuppositionalists aren’t just giving a small narrow Transcendental Arugment say like how truth is always presupposed even if one argue against existence of truth, but Presuppositionalists are arguing for the entire clash of worldviews to account for everything. So the writer deals with those who want to defeat the transcendental argument Presuppositionalists employ (He calls it TACT, Transcendental Argument for CHristian Theism, most Presuppers use the term TAG, but I actually like TACT better) and not how there’s problem with hypothetical objections. This include how hypothetical worldviews made up by interlocutors aren’t fully fleshed out to solve philosophical problems and the lack of detailed specificities of doctrines internal to the worldview to account for things such as Christian theologians and Presuppositionalists have done. Hopefully this sorta help…if not, I plan to touch on some of these aspects when we get to our series on Presuppositional Apologetics in our Tuesday series when we finally get there Lord willing…how is your day so far???
When I think transcendental I think of like Emerson, Thoreau, Salinger etc. This is way over my head! Thanks for trying!! It’s a good day! How’s yours?!
The Defective Dunning-Kruger Effect article was insightful and interesting
Good review on Geisler
